Code compliance

Safety and code compliance are at the core of our automatic and manual doors.
Every automatic sliding, swinging and folding doors we manufacture meets ANSI A156.10 or ANSI A156.19 Standard for Power Operated Pedestrian Doors.

UL tests STANLEY products, which guarantees that they will enhance public safety and meet regulatory demands.

Americans with Disabilities Act

We are proud to partner with the ADA to serve the seventy-three million Americans with disabilities who count on automatic doors and swing operators to give them more freedom of mobility.
For an automatic door to meet ADA requirements, it must have a minimum clear opening of 32 in (815 mm).

If you’re looking to comply with ADA requirements, the most common retrofit solution is to add a low energy operator to an existing manual door. Click here to view our offerings.

Sensor Monitoring

The new ANSI/BHMA A156.10 Standard, which was published by BHMA on August 11, 2017 and went into effect November 11, 2017, impacts automatic doors equipped with presence sensors. This Standard is industry-wide and STANLEY has been involved in defining these Standards, is in full compliance with this program, and is even exceeding it. Starting November 11th, 2017 all new STANLEY door orders shipping out of our factories will have Sensor Monitoring.
