Make Your School Safer with Help from the American Rescue Plan

Enacted on March 11, 2021, the American Rescue Plan provides $130 billion in K-12 education funding to get kids back into the classroom safely. These funds are easily accessed simply by contacting your State Department of Education (public schools) or Local Education Authority (private and parochial schools). Schools must access their funding no later than September 30, 2021 and must spend that funding within two calendar years afterward.

What can this money be used for?

K-12 schools may use ARP funding to update/enhance existing or implement new integrated safety and security solutions that help them:

  • Create touchless access points to reduce the spread of germs
  • Enable easy access for people of all abilities
  • Help safeguard and reduce the spread of future viruses
  • Automate occupancy tracking to manage social distancing and efficiently screen students, staff and visitors
  • Enhance emergency communications

Touchless Automatic Doors Bring Students Back Safely

Germs can be spread through common contact points on exterior doors, restrooms, teachers-only rooms, offices and more. By simply installing touchless automatic doors, you can eliminate those contact points and help stop future outbreaks.

A graphic depicting that bathroom door handles are touched up to 2,000 times in one day, can harbor up to 40,000 harmful germs per square inch, and that 99% of school children do not wash hands sufficiently to remove bacteria.

Touchless automatic doors from STANLEY Access Technologies can be newly installed or retrofitted at your school by our AAADM-certified technicians with minimal disruption. These efficient solutions make your school safer for everyone and more easily accessible for people of all abilities.
