Product FAQs
We've been experts in automatic doors for over 80 years, and our Dura-Glide® doors are some of our most popular models. Have questions? We've got the answers.
Typically, this door comes with a mechanical lock. It's keyed on the outside with a thumb turn on the inside. Note that when the door is locked, it doesn’t break out. Varying access control options are also available, such as a retinal scanner, key switch, keypad, or card reader.
Only the Dura-Glide® 2000 can sit on the ground without any track. This is because only the sliding panels break out. The Dura-Glide® 3000 requires a track/threshold because all panels break out.
The Dura-Glide® 2000/3000 is a robust sliding door system based on traditional stile and rail panels in narrow and medium stiles. The wider you make the stiles, the less the door can slide (less CDO).

Stanley Dura-Glide® 2000/3000 Series sliding automatic entrances are equipped with a “breakout” feature that allows for fast emergency exit, with or without power. Simply pushing on the sliding panel will release the panel to swing out. On a 2000 Series, only the sliding panels break out; on 3000 the sliding panel and adjacent sidelight breakout.
Check power supply, observe and clear any obstructions; if issues persist, call for service.
Run your “Daily Safety Check", keep door and threshold clear of obstructions.
Specifically tailored to meet your needs, STANLEY Access Technologies' planned service agreements utilize regular schedules to reduce service interruptions and minimize costly repairs. Each agreement includes routine 14-point inspections, cleaning, lubrication, code/compliance service checks and can include options for increased cost savings on parts and labor.
All members of the American Association of Automatic Door Manufacturers (AAADM) make their automatic doors and components in compliance with the Standard for Power Operated Pedestrian Doors, ANSI/BHMA A156.10, or Standard for Power Assist and Low Energy Power Operated Doors ANSI/BHMA A156.19. This national consensus standard defines and governs such things as installation, sensing devices, and safety requirements for automatic pedestrian doors.
Not necessarily, but they are frequently the most cost-effective solution, especially if there are space limitations. You should consult with your architect to determine the optimal door type. What criteria should be used to determine the type of automatic door to install? Your architect should determine the specific type of door. Conditions to consider are building space limitations, personnel traffic patterns, and levels, egress requirements, plus wind conditions for outside doors.
Typically, safety sensors above the doors regulate door openings and closings. A properly maintained automatic door will not close if there is something or someone in the way. Naturally, though, people should exercise reasonable caution and keep moving when passing through automatic doors. Also, note that doors operating under the “Low Energy” standard, ANSI/BHMA A156.19 do not require safety sensors.
The delay time after opening is user-adjustable varies depending on the standard being applied and the type of operator. Typically for a swinging “Low Energy” application (push to operate), it is 5 seconds and 1.5 to 2.5 seconds for fully automatic swing doors with appropriate safety systems in place. Controls allow adjustment up to 50 seconds.
Automatic sliding doors are available in single slide, bi-part slide, and telescopic slide, and bifold configurations. As a rule, these are furnished as complete packages and can be surface mounted or jamb mounted, and can incorporate integrated transoms. Slide doors typically include an operator, header, track, carrier wheels, sliding door panel(s), sidelite panel(s), jambs, lock, and activation/safety system. Other options are also available.
AAADM stands for The American Association of Automatic Door Manufacturers. They are a trade association of manufactures of automatic pedestrian door systems.

Product FAQs
We've been experts in automatic doors for over 80 years, and our Dura-Glide doors are some of our most popular models. Have questions? We've got the answers.
Unfortunately, there’s not one answer here. It is case by case based on the “charge weight” and “standoff distance” which are based on the type of facility and the layout of the building. The blast consultant on the project typically gets this information from the agency in charge of the project.
Designed and Tested to Department of Defense Anti-Terrorism Standards.
The Dura-Shield Blast Doors have been developed in partnership with Insulgard® Security Products to provide protection from BLAST attacks.

Product FAQs
We've been experts in automatic doors for over 80 years, and our Dura-Glide® doors are some of our most popular models. Have questions? We've got the answers.
GreenStar doors are our most energy efficient products. They are air infiltration rated under ASTM E283, and when specified with LowE insulated glass you’ll get improved thermal performance (U, SHGC) as well. Other features, like closers with magnetic catches will help keep these doors in the closed position, saving even more energy. In many applications the performance offered by GreenStar is required for compliance with local codes (IECC).
Our most energy-efficient door, designed to help you achieve your eco-friendly and energy-saving goals.

Product FAQs
We've been experts in automatic doors for over 80 years, and our Dura-Glide® doors are some of our most popular models. Have questions? We've got the answers.
The Dura-Glide® 5200/5300 telescoping doors are 3 panel doors. The 5200 Series features partial breakout, where 1 panel breaks out for emergency egress, while the 5300 Series features full breakout where all 3 panels breakout. If you are looking for a 2-panel door with breakout, you may consider our Dura-Glide® 2000/3000 sliding doors which feature emergency breakout for 2 panels.
It depends. All of our door systems have an integrated means of egress feature. On the 5300 all panels breakout for egress. On the 5200 only the lead panel breaks out for egress. If either of these options are short of providing the design egress width for the project, then additional doors are required.
